Pam Foden, Visit England’s head of industry development, visited The Hogs’ Head Inn in Alnwick on Tuesday.

She spoke to accommodation providers and visitor-attraction operators interested in finding out more about VisitEngland’s quality-assessment schemes, as well as finding out more about Visit England workshops and marketing advice to help business thrive.

Pam also talked about Trip Advisor and gave guidance on online reviews.

Natalie Wood, business relationships manager for Northumberland Tourism, said: “When Northumberland Tourism found out Pam Foden would be in the area, we were very keen to provide tourism businesses with the opportunity to meet with her and draw on her extensive knowledge.

“We plan to work closely with Pam in the future to ensure tourism businesses in Northumberland can continue to benefit from her team’s expertise and support.”
