Deputies on duty for Queen visit

SPECIAL guests invited to the garden party for carers and volunteers were introduced to the Royal visitors by Deputy Lieutenants of the county.

Assisting the Lord Lieutenant, the Duchess of Northumberland, the deputies including Alan Shearer and Vice Lord Lieutenant, Captain Iain Moffat, presented the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh with different groups at the Alnwick Garden event last Wednesday to highlight the work they do in the county.

Included in those deputies present were Air Vice-Marshal Sandy Hunter, Colonel Tony Glenton, Bryony Gibson, Jean Bell, Doreen Elwell, Stuart Birkett, Revd Judith Grieve, Robin Dower, Lady Bradbeer, Colonel John Anderson, Glenn McCrory, Patricia Birley, Caroline Pryer, John Browne-Swinburne, Lord Joicey and Dr Tony Trapp.
