A long-standing family-run business has once again supported a crucial charity, by gifting a second courtesy car to the cause.

Car dealership Blackshaws, which has bases in Alnwick and Morpeth, has presented the Suzuki Swift to HospiceCare North Northumberland. It will be used by the clinical team, helping them to carry out their vital work in the area.

William Blackshaw said: “We are delighted to offer our support to HospiceCare once again. The Suzuki Swift is one of our most popular vehicles and we hope it will be useful to the hospice for its home visits which are so important to people in a time of need.

“As a well-established company in this area, we are always happy to help where we can as we feel it is very important to give something back to our local community.”

Hospice nurse manager Sue Gilbertson said: “We are overwhelmed with the continuing support of Blackshaws. The car will become an invaluable resource for our clinical team to use when travelling throughout our rural communities.”

HospiceCare has a centre in Alnwick and Berwick. Blackshaws has a selection of new Nissan and Suzuki cars in Alnwick and new Mitsubishi cars in Morpeth.
