A date has now been set for a contentious housing scheme to go in front of Northumberland County Council’s planning committee.
The proposal, submitted to the authority by Mr I Forsyth and NB Clark, is for 42 properties, including six affordable homes, garages, gardens and access.
It is earmarked for the west of Gloster Hill Farmhouse, Gloster Hill, Amble, and has prompted a string of objections.
At Amble Town Council last Thursday, the meeting heard that the application will go to the planning committee on Tuesday, May 3, while a site visit is scheduled for Monday, April 4.
○ Last month, an outline bid for six homes and detached garages on land north of Gloster Hill was approved, to the dismay of objectors.
