Trial for trio at the crown court

Three men involved in a disturbance at the Craster Arms Hotel at Beadnell have had their case committed for trial at Newcastle Crown Court.

The trio, who all come from Seahouses, appeared before Berwick magistrates last week and will appear before a judge on Tyneside on August 23.

Carl Avery, aged 25, of Stone Close, and Dean Avery, aged 23, of Crumstone, are both charged with affray.

Mark Nelson, aged 27, of Castle Court, is charged with affray and wounding.

All three were arrested following an incident at the hotel on Saturday, October 15, 2011, and are on unconditional bail.
