Councillor calls it a day

A LONG-standing parish councillor has resigned her post due to personal commitments.

Judi Hill was a member of Alnmouth Parish Council for 10 years and acted as chairman for half that time, as well as being instrumental in organising the village’s acclaimed arts festival for its first five years.

Parish council chairman Bill Bourne said: “Judi was always a doughty fighter for the village’s interests and her fellow councillors and parishioners give sincere thanks for all her hard work during that time.”

Anyone interested in filling the vacancy which Judi’s resignation will create is asked to read information which will appear on the parish council notice board.
