SHE was born in the same year as John Wayne and Katharine Hepburn and has lived through two centuries, five English monarchs and countless politicians.
But Amble’s Connie Mossman has out-lived most, having celebrated her 105th birthday this week.
Connie, who was born in 1907, received a card from the Queen on Tuesday as she celebrated the milestone with big smiles when she was taken out for lunch to celebrate.
The great-grandmother of five now lives with her daughter at Marks Bridge after moving from her Bisley Road home.
She was born in the town and has lived in the area her whole life.
