A coffee morning with a difference is being held by two fund-raisers as they build up to run the London Marathon dressed as two bananas.

Airah Rose Young and her father Robin Winder are running this year’s race to raise money for the Salvation Army’s local homeless projects.

A coffee morning takes place at the Hindmarsh Hall in Alnmouth on Saturday between 10am and 1pm.

There will be a talent/time auction where local people who have donated their time/talents and skills will be auctioned off to the highest bidder in order to raise further funds.

In addition, there will be some craft and art stalls with painters and artists selling art and craft items.

There will also be a raffle which will be drawn by the Reverend Lynda Coulthard and a cake stall with locally-produced fare for sale.
