A Bristol woman will be walking down the north Northumberland coastline next week to support an African youth project.
Evie Dickinson is taking on the 36-hour trek to raise funds for the Tikondwe Youth Organisation, which is based in Malawi and was set up with the aim of empowering people through education.
She has been travelling back and forth to the country to work for the charity over the past two years, but from next Tuesday she won’t be travelling quite as far.
She said: “I am originally from Bristol, but my mother’s side of the family is from Newcastle, so the North East has always been a special place for me and that is why my sponsored walk will be the length of the Northumbrian coastline, from Berwick to Cresswell.”
