CLUB: Bowlers have disbanded

Due to the uncertainty of the closure of Lindisfarne Sport Centre, and a lack of interest in raising a new committee, the members of Alnwick Age Concern Bowling Club have decided with much regret to disband the club, which has been running for over 30 years.

All the members have enjoyed a trip to Scarborough and a very delicious meal at the Market Tavern.

After a vote from all the members and standing committee, it was decided that all remaining monies would go to various charities, being the Great North Air Ambulance Service, Alnwick Hospice, Marie Curie Cancer and Shak.

All members past and present have enjoyed this facility for so many years and it will be sadly missed every Monday afternoon.

My kindest regards to everyone for the future.

Margaret Thompson,

Treasurer, Alnwick Age Concern Bowls Club
