One of the main routes out of Alnwick is to expected to be closed for a day later this month.
The B6346 Alnwick to Eglingham road will be closed for a length of about 800 metres from its junction with the B6341 in the town centre out to just before the junction with the B6347.
This is the section from where The Peth meets Bailiffgate, along past St Michael’s Church and Hulne Park up to the crossroads at Shipley Wood.
A diversion will be in place down The Peth and along the B6341 to South Charlton and back along the B6347 to the B6346.
The temporary road closure order is to be effective from Tuesday, April 21, until Thursday, April 30, but it is expected that the road will only be closed on Tuesday, April 21, between 9am and 3pm. The closure is to allow for tree-trimming to take place.
