Northumbrian Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) opened up its new office in Bondgate Within, Alnwick, on Tuesday morning.

The opening was followed by an open morning for people to see for themselves the work staff and volunteers do each and every day of the week.

Moira Macfarlane, chief executive, said: “This is a very important day for the Bureau; the opening of our new town-centre office reflects our strong commitment to maintaining a local high-street presence, where people can continue to receive the reassurance of face-to-face advice.”

Mayor of Alnwick Bill Grisdale said: “It gives me great delight to support this charity for the entire community by opening their new office in Alnwick; they help resolve many of the problems we all face in our day-to-day lives, including family issues, benefit and employment problems, consumer difficulties and debt.”

CAB is funded entirely by grants, donations and the generosity of individuals. Contact 01665 604136.
