Plans for a retail booth backing onto the car park in Seahouses look set to get the go-ahead next week.

At Tuesday’s meeting of Northumberland County Council’s planning committee, members are recommended to approve the scheme for the rear yard of 22 Main Street – Lewis’s Fish Restaurant. A new doorway and sliding window are proposed to be inserted into the boundary wall from which customers would be served.

Meanwhile, members are recommended to go for a site visit before making a decision on plans for three executive dwellings within the grounds of Linden Hall, near Longhorsley, on land hosting an existing property known as Dormy House.
