A fund-raising walk, organised by Amble’s Gemma Little in memory of her mum who fought a decade-long dementia battle, has been hailed a success.

Saturday’s event was for the Alzheimer’s Society and Alnwick Garden’s Blooming Well Project, which provides gardening workshops for dementia sufferers and their carers.

Around 85 walkers and 11 dogs took part in the trek from Craster to Amble. A fund-raising total will be announced soon.
