A charity set up to help separated parents is offering assistance to those in Northumberland after an announcement that charges could be made if they fail to agree on child-maintenance payments.
Support 4 Separated Parents helpline (S4SP) was set up to assist parents settle problems about family matters when splitting.
Headed up by Hazel Hedley, the charity is now perfectly placed to assist parents separating avoid the fees being put in place by the Child Maintenance Service.
She said: “Part of our service is to align our clients who call with the right service to sort out their issues, to avoid them having to go through court. It is a natural step for us to be able to advise where to get help in fairly sorting out the financial aspect too.”
S4SP Helpline, which can be reached on 0333 2000722, is answered by experienced professionals Monday to Friday.
