The RNLI is looking for volunteers to come and support its group of Great North runners.
The role will involve spotting those running for the charity and giving them a huge cheer to motivate them along the route.
Heather Malkin, RNLI volunteering adviser north, said: “This is your chance to soak up the atmosphere of the run and help the RNLI at the same time.
“On the day you will meet like-minded volunteers and you will be kitted out with an RNLI tabard, cheering materials and information to support all our charity’s runners.
“You don’t need to have any prior knowledge or involvement with the RNLI, just a willingness to help us ensure our runners receive the support they deserve.”
