Charity hunts for brides-to-be

A CHILDREN’S charity is on the hunt for eight blushing brides-to-be to battle it out against each other and win the wedding of their dreams.

Metro Radio’s Cash for Kids is on the search for eight couples who want to win a weddingmoon to Cuba.

The couple that raises the most money for Cash for Kids in nine days, starting tomorrow, will be whisked away courtesy of the Co-Operative Travel.

Fundraising is by any means necessary (as long as it’s legal).

In 2009, Battle of the Brides was won by the now Mr & Mrs Baston – Geoff, from Alnwick and Kelly – who recently gave birth to the first Cash for Kids baby in the shape of little Archie.

They grabbed the winning prize of a wedding-moon in the Maldives by fund-raising in pubs, bars, shopping centres and even the Newcastle International Airport at 5am

Kelly said: “It was one of the hardest weeks ever but the most rewarding thing we could have done.

“We helped so many children and then had the best weddingmoon of our lives. We would not change a thing. It was the best day of my life.”

Not only do the winning couple get to look forward to a relaxing, all-inclusive, two-week honeymoon, they can also enjoy their entire wedding completely free.

This includes a professional photographer who will capture every moment of their big day under the beautiful Cuban sun.
