The Rotary Club of Alnwick has welcomed its new president.

Rotarian Bryan Ellis handed over the chain of office to David Campbell, pictured, at a lunchtime meeting in The White Swan Hotel. The tenure runs until June 30, 2017.

On July 2, Alnwick Rotarian Terry Long, who has been district governor, handed over to Peter Chandler, of the Rotary Club of Stokesley, at the Ramside Hotel, Durham. The district covers 64 clubs from Berwick to North Yorkshire.

“It has been a very busy, but extremely rewarding 12 months,” said Terry. “It’s comforting to know that our organisation will be continuing to help communities.”
