Chancellor George Osborne arrives in Northumberland for last-minute campaigning

The Tory General Election bandwagon has arrived in Alnwick again this afternoon as the heat is turned up for the last two days on the campaign trail.

On board was Chancellor George Osborne, who jumped off for a brief visit to Baileys of Alnwick café, where he spoke to local business leaders, before heading to the north ofthe Berwick-upon-Tweed constituency.

He was in town to support the campaign of Conservative candidate Anne-Marie Trevelyan and follows a string of high-profile visitors to the area, including David Cameron last month and William Hague to Berwick on Saturday.
