Cash for newts

THE Northumberland Wildlife Trust has received £200 from Alnwick and District Natural History Society.

The money will go towards the cost of bat and newt survey work.

Northumberland Wildlife Trust is the largest environmental charity in the region working to safeguard native wildlife and is one of 47 Wildlife Trusts across the UK.

It has campaigned for nature conservation for over 40 years, and it is supported by more than 13,000 people across the region.
