Police are appealing for information after a car was damaged in a north Northumberland village.

It happened between 4pm on Monday and 11.30am on Tuesday, when a car was parked at Heugh Wynd in Craster. The rear panels of the Vauxhall Insignia were scratched, causing hundreds of pounds of damage.

Neighbourhood Inspector Paul Truscott said: “This is mindless damage which has caused frustration for the vehicle owner, not to mention the inconvenience and cost, and it will not be tolerated. Anyone who has information about this incident or witnessed anything suspicious in the area at the time is asked to get in touch with police.”
