At their weekly sale of Primestock John Swan Ltd had forward and sold 1,216 Lambs, 21 Hoggs and Young Sheep and 207 Ewes.

At the annual Summer Show, kindly judged by J Curle, the Championship was awarded to Messrs Howard, Chillingham Home Farm, for a pen Beltex.x weighing 36kg and selling at £80 to the judge.

The Reserve Champion was also awarded to Chillingham Home Farm, weighing 34kg and selling at £66, also to the judge.

Lambs, all classes easier, very few lambs leaving the market, showing just how difficult trade is.
