Glendale Agriculture Society is to hold its latest annual meeting at the Tankerville Arms in Wooler on Tuesday next week, starting at 7.30pm.

The meeting, open to all, is an opportunity for members to learn what their society has been up to over the last 12 months.

Highlights of the past year set to be reviewed include the society’s children’s countryside day and Glendale Show.

In addition to reviewing the year just ended, the meeting provides a chance for the society’s 300 members to hear about its plans for the next 12 months.

and some of the opportunities about to arise.

Those attending will hear more details about the progress of the society’s first annual theme, the year of the sheep.

Society secretary Rachael Tait said: “The society’s annual meeting is an excellent opportunity to find out more about the work of the society, and members, friends, stewards and volunteers are all welcome to attend the evening.

“Membership of the society is really good value, considering the benefits, which include events and free entry to the annual show.”
