The search is on for the best in rural business.

Awards joint founder Jemma Clifford said: “These awards will acknowledge the vital contribution rural companies make, encourage the countryside’s superb entrepreneurial spirit and recognise business excellence within the rural sector.

“This is a chance for firms from every hamlet, village and rural location to showcase their excellence and success to the world.”

The categories are Best New Rural Start-up; People’s Choice Award; Best Renewable Energy Project; Outstanding Farm Diversification Project; Best Rural Apparel Product or Brand; Outstanding Agricultural Innovation; Outstanding Manufacturing Business; Best Rural Professional Services Business; Best Rural Construction Project, Best Rural Field Sport, Equestrian or Rural Recreational Business.

Businesses can enter the awards, supported by the CLA, until Friday, April 24.

An independent panel of judges will pick the winners and the awards will be presented at a ceremony in June.
