A Northumberland inn in the heart of the national park has been singled out in a hotel awards scheme.
The Pheasant Inn at Kielder Water has won a Nicely Priced award in the first Sawday’s British Hotel Awards.
The 16th edition of Sawday’s British Hotel guide is out on October 1.
From the wildly luxurious to wonderfully rustic, it presents the cream of the crop with more than 300 entries and 40 new additions so winning an award is a real achievement.
With the arrival of the new book, the firm is delighted to announce 15 winners of the first Sawday’s British Hotel Awards across five categories: Hotels of the Year; Favourite Newcomers; Old Favourites; Nicely Priced; and Fabulous Food.
Of The Pheasant Inn’s win, Alastair Sawday, founder of Sawday’s, said: “There’s nothing like washing up at a lovely small hotel and finding it has a lovely small price too!”
