A number of north Northumberland tourist ventures have once again seen success at a regional awards ceremony.

Tourism businesses were last night congratulated for the exceptional contribution they make to the region’s visitor economy at the North East England Tourism Awards 2013, held at St James’ Park in Newcastle.

Seafield Caravan Park, in Seahouses, and Leaplish Waterside Park, at Kielder, shared the Caravan Holiday Park/Holiday Village of the Year award.

Also in Seahouses, St Cuthbert’s House won Bed & Breakfast/Guest Accommodation of the Year, while the Self-Catering Holiday Provider of the Year was Blacksmith’s Cottage in Alnham.
