A new outside catering business with a difference has been set up to serve north Northumberland communities.
Sharyn Cumming and Louisa Hyde have recently set up Rotisserie Jacques, a mobile catering business meeting the requirements of groups from 12 to 50 people in Seahouses and the surrounding area.
Originally from Surrey, where they had a restaurant for 17 years, the pair moved permanently to the north Northumberland coast last year, having had a holiday home in North Sunderland for several years.
They now offer delicious and different in-house catering for the special occasions that bring people together.
Under their Poachers Produce label they provide the holiday-home market with a full range of catering options, from a full ‘chalet-style’ service, where food is prepared, served and cleared, to take away any hassle, to ready-made home-cooked meals which can be bought in advance, taken from the fridge and served to guests.
All meals benefit from an innovative approach to home-style recipes and feature local produce, including meat from Carters of Bamburgh.
Sharyn and Louisa offer flexibility, meeting clients’ requirements and tailoring menus to suit individual needs.
Louisa said: “It could be breakfast for 10 for a week, a one-off corporate buffet or a table-served five course meal.
“Catering is not exclusive to the holiday-home market either. Anyone considering a small gathering – Christenings, birthdays, anniversaries, shooting parties or even funeral wakes – should definitely give us a call.”
Rotisserie Jacques also has a mobile rotisserie where a range of meats can be cooked on site.
