The Alnwick-based holding company which owns Alnwick Rum and Alnwick Brewery has seen a change at the top with two directors moving on.
David and Hamish Ainsley have sold their stake to fellow directors Ian Robinson, Keith Stephenson and Chris Walwyn-James.
Having largely completed the group’s first round of new brand launches, the father-and-son team is moving on to develop the family’s consulting business, which has its fullest order-book ever.
Mr Stephenson, chairman of Harry Hotspur Holdings Ltd (HHH), said: “David and Hamish’s contribution to the business has been invaluable and we look forward to a continuing dialogue with them on their specialist areas of knowledge in the brewing industry.”
David Ainsley added: “Hamish and I have thoroughly enjoyed our time at HHH and, in many ways, are sorry to be leaving. We have much to do here and in Kazakhstan, however, and wish Chris, Keith and Ian every success with the hugely exciting plans for the future.”
Harry Hotspur Holdings Ltd, the holding company for Spirit of Northumberland Ltd, Alnwick Rum Ltd and Alnwick Brewery Company Ltd, is an expanding enterprise committed to the restoration of brewing in or near Alnwick.
