The Western Union Company, a leader in global payment services, has announced that its Western Union Money Transfer services have opened within the Alnwick WHSmith store via its self-service kiosks.
The branch, on Bondgate Within, is one of the first locations to launch the self-service kiosks, with Western Union planning to roll out 300 across the UK in the coming months.
The self-service kiosks are easy to use; customers simply need to enter their transaction details at the kiosk and then proceed to a WHSmith self-checkout to pay for their money transfer.
Massimiliano Alvisini, Vice-President Northern Europe at Western Union, said: “I am pleased to announce the launch of one of the first of our self-service kiosks in Alnwick.
“With more than 1,300 stores and an average of almost one million people visiting a WHSmith high-street store every day of the year, WHSmith is a well-established retailer to work with and launch our self-service terminals.”
