Alnwick will be playing host to the county’s newest business expo, Network Northumberland, which takes place next month.
Twenty-two prominent local businesses will be exhibiting on the day with a further six expert speakers lined up to present 45-minute seminars on a range of subjects from marketing to corporate debt.
There will also be two speed-networking events on the day, where delegates will get the opportunity to find a perfect match – if not in love, then in business at least.
StartUP Britain business champion for Northumberland, Paul Wakefield, is also taking a 90-minute workshop and the whole day is free to attend.
This inaugural event will be taking place on Thursday, October 30, at the White Swan in Alnwick, and the aim is to promote Northumberland as a thriving business community.
Organiser Ian McAllister said: “We are organising this launch event as the first step to showcasing north Northumberland as a thriving place to do business.
“What will follow from this expo will be further exhibitions, a networking group and a panel of industry experts who are going to be consulting to drive the opportunities that Northumberland has to offer.”
James Thompson, general manager at the White Swan, added: “It has been a privilege to be chosen to host the first B2B networking event in Alnwick.
“At the White Swan, we are passionate about promoting Northumberland along with the services and business in the area.
“We welcome any opportunity to further add value to the county and continue to secure the long-term success of those businesses within.”
