Inaugural expo event to take place in Alnwick

Businesses in north Northumberland are being given their own opportunity to make new contacts and attend workshops in the first of a series of events in the county next week.

Business organisation Network Northumberland is hosting the inaugural Northumberland Expo at the White Swan in Alnwick next Thursday.

The event will feature 21 exhibitors, six seminars, two speed networking sessions and an interactive workshop – all free of charge.

Network Northumberland, set up to promote business in rural Northumberland, says the aim of the expo is to bring together businesses from all around the county to encourage more working together.

Six local business experts will share their knowledge and expertise in 45-minute seminars delivered throughout the day.

These include Alnwick businessman Mark Turnbull who will deliver a seminar at 3.30pm called Making Your Boat Go Faster.

The other seminars are being given by Julie Johnson, of Julie Johnson Coaching, Sarah Raad, of creative design company Tent, Andrew Swann, of Short, Richardson & Forth Solicitors, Beth Wyatt, of Northern Print Design Solutions, and John King, of enterprise agency NBSL.
