Leading rural insurance provider CLA Insurance Services (CLAIS) has strengthened its presence in the region with the appointment of a new team member.
John Steward joins the CLA from NFU Mutual where he worked for four years at Alnwick.
Born and raised in Northumberland, John has a keen understanding of rural affairs and farming and will be a familiar face to many farmers in the area.
He said: “I am delighted to join the CLA at a time when the insurance business is growing at an impressive rate.
“We really understand the unique demands of the rural community and have developed a comprehensive suite of products.”
CLAIS offers members a range of insurance products for small landowners, farms and country estates as well as rural businesses.
CLA North regional director Dorothy Fairburn, said: “I am delighted to welcome John to the CLA.
“He is very familiar with Northumberland and has excellent credentials in the insurance industry.”
Prior to his role with the NFU, John lived and studied in York before moving home to help run his family’s art gallery business. He lives in Morpeth.
