The beauty business in a north Northumberland seaside town continues to grow, with the opening of a new salon.

The latest business to start trading in Seahouses – opening its doors just last Thursday – is Brogan’s Beauty.

Owner Brogan Wilkin, despite being just 19 years old, has already notched up three years’ experience in the beauty industry and is a qualified beauty therapist.

“I’m so excited,” she said. “It’s been a lot of work but it’s always been a dream to run my own business and I can’t wait to start.”

Thanks to a dedicated team of local builders – Stephen Hogg, Wayne and Ian Patterson and Alan Lightly – the old Farne Hotel at the roundabout on Main Street has been transformed into a pampering salon complete with state-of-the-art sun shower, spray-tan room, massage table and nail and pedicure tables.

As a certified Dermalogica consultant, Brogan is the only consultant for the brand in the village.

“Dermalogica are simply the number one professional beauty treatments available today and I’m thrilled to be able to offer them in Seahouses,” she added.

As of last month, Brogan’s Beauty is open to the public and all are welcome to pop in and see what is on offer there.
