A year to the day after setting up their successful Newcastle salon two businesswoman have opened a new branch in Alnwick.
Urban Goddess launched the Northumberland branch of it’s hair extension business last Friday, in the former Little Spice Shop, on Green Batt.
And owners Katie Smith and Chelsea Rawlinson are excited about their new venture.
The pair launched their Westerhope branch last year after realising that they could pool their talents to make a success of their business.
Katie, 26, and Chelsea, 24, ran a mobile business doing hair extensions with clients across Newcastle and Northumberland.
After their success they decided to launch Urban Goddess.
But some of their clients in the rural areas missed out on their extensions because the base was in Newcastle.
Katie said: “It’s so exciting to be open in Alnwick now.
“We missed coming up the Alnwick and Rothbury so it’s nice to be back.”
The girls offer a very personal service, both working on just one client at a time, which means that the time it takes to put in the extensions is reduced.
Urban Goddess is believed to be the first provider of nano-ring extensions in the area.
Nano rings are the smallest available and are almost invisible when used for hair extensions.
And the girls are also frequented by celebrity clients with Sophie from Geordie Shore and glamour models from Newcastle having used their services.
At present the Alnwick store will be open on Thursdays noon to 9pm and Fridays 9am to 6pm, with other days yet to be arranged.
A full head of extensions starts at £250, and the girls also re-use the hair.
