Agriculture and rural PR specialist Glendale PR and Marketing has welcomed a new face to the business.
Annabel Garven, a graduate in environmental sciences who lives on a farm near Boulmer, joins the Wooler-based company from Eshott Hall, where she was house manager.
In her new role as PR and marketing executive with Glendale, Annabel will help with the production of marketing strategies and the implementation of marketing, PR and social media campaigns, event management and promotion.
She said: “Glendale PR is a very well-known and respected company and I am excited to be part of the business as it enters its next decade.
“My aim is to bring a fresh prospective to the business, with my experience from a busy country house and environmental science background.”
Since it launched almost 20 years ago, Glendale PR and Marketing has been responsible for the publicity and marketing of many agricultural and farm-based businesses, a number which are now market leaders.
These include long-term relationships with brand leaders such as Doddington Diary Ice Cream, BEDMAX shavings for horses, and Sunny Hill free-range eggs.
The company also specialises in product launches for rural companies, as well as organisations and groups that work in the sector.
Some of the more recent rural-based projects which the company has been involved with include the Northumberland Monitor Farm, NSA North Sheep, the Glendale Agricultural Society, Re:Heat, and Northumbrian Quality Feeds.
Managing director Barbara Huddart is delighted to welcome Annabel to the team.
She said: “This really is a key appointment for us at a time when the business is growing.
“We needed a highly creative and innovative person with the knowledge and experience of rural issues to meet the needs of our client base, so it was vital we brought someone of Annabel’s calibre on board.”
