A little animal magic

The saying never work with animals isn’t an option for Rebecca Ashworth.

Widdrington-based Rebecca, who runs Sit Stay Capture Dog Photography, has notched up her busiest year.

She said: “It’s my first cocker spaniel that I owe for this great love of photography and my manner around dogs. During my first year self-employed, I received help from the Northumberland County Council Young Enterprise Fund which enabled me to upgrade my equipment. Sit Stay Capture went from strength to strength after that and I was even shortlisted for the Newcastle University Entrepreneurial Spirit Award whilst studying for my degree.

“I’m self-taught and have substantially upgraded my equipment in the last month, allowing me to capture even the most unruly furry family members. A lot of people think their dog needs to sit or be well behaved, it’s not the case and I haven’t met anything yet that I couldn’t photograph.”
