A north Northumberland bus company has launched new timetables for its services linking Alnwick, Amble and the villages in between.
The family-run firm Travelsure, which has offices in Belford and Seahouses, brought in new timetables from last Monday (September 26) for its Alnwick to Amble and Alnwick town services.
Plus, the provider is also promoting a new service throughout the winter season to Belford and Berwick via the coast , which it hopes will be utilised by all residents and visitors travelling to and from Berwick.
The T01 service runs through Alnwick, with stops at Aldi, Sainsbury’s and the Hog’s Head Inn, before going on to Shilbottle, Warkworth, Acklington, Broomhill and Amble.
It runs four times a day and heads back from Amble via Warkworth and Shilbottle to Alnwick bus station.
An Amble to Alnwick day return costs £4.95, Warkworth to Alnwick £4.50 and Shilbottle to Alnwick £3.15.
The T02 service runs round Alnwick with stops at Barresdale, the bus station and the likes of the hospital, the Oaks, Aldi and Sainsbury’s.
An Alnwick Anywhere day ticket, valid for travel within the town, costs £2 for adults and £1 for children.
Travelsure hopes that ‘it will be a vital link to all areas of Alnwick, including the hospital and the new Duchess’s school’.
Finally, the 418 service links Alnwick with Denwick, Longhoughton, Howick, Craster, Dunstan, Embleton, High Newton, Beadnell, Seahouses, Bamburgh, Belford, Beal and Berwick.
