Thirsty art lovers attending one of north Northumberland’s leading events this year can take a break in a pub and sample the brewer’s art.

The 11th edition of the Alnmouth Arts Festival takes place on Saturday and Sunday, June 20 and 21, and to mark the event, the village’s Red Lion pub has again teamed up with the Allendale Brewery to produce another batch of Alnmouth Arts Ale, first introduced in 2012. Pictured above are the pub’s landlady Jane McHugh and manager Katey Willis with this year’s winning poster artist, Elidh Gardiner.

The festival features more than 60 artists and makers from between Tyne and Tweed, displaying and selling their work in more than 20 venues around the village.
