DAFFODILS and tulips will be on display as Alnwick Spring Show takes place next month.
With a new venue at Willowburn Sports and Leisure Centre, the event, which runs on Saturday, April 14 from 11am to 5pm and Sunday, April 15, from 10am to 4pm, promises to be bigger and better than previous years with floral, cookery and children’s classes for amateurs and novices.
The first show of its kind took place in 2007 and it has been built on year-on-year.
It was previously held at Alnwick Garden but the venue was changed for 2012 because of a double booking.
There are classes for all with prizes of up to £15 for winners, and those in second and third place also receiving cash.
Entries can be made on Friday, April 13 from 4pm to 9.30pm and from 7am to 9.30am on Saturday and entry to all classes is free.
The show is also looking for sponsors. Anyone who wants to sponsor the whole event or a particular section or class can contact show secretaries on 01665 604350 or 01665 608150.
Free parking will be available at the venue and entry costs £1, children free.
