A rare opportunity to buy a beach hut on the north Northumberland coast has arisen.
And for £25,000, the timber hut, which overlooks the bay between Boulmer and Alnmouth, could be yours.
Situated at Seaton Point, Coquet View is divided into two areas, a kitchen/living area and a bedroom area which sleeps up to four people.
And prospective owners are already fighting over who is going to get the property.
Gemma Miller, sales manager at estate agents George F White in Alnwick, which is marketing the property, said: “There has been a lot of interest in this property. It has only been on the market for a week and we have been doing open viewings already and have more this weekend.
“A lot of people see it as a magical little weekend retreat.
“We have buyers from London, Newcastle, Durham and North Yorkshire interested in it.
“It has been with its owner for 30 years and she has taken her children there from being babies, to toddlers and teens.
“It is shabby chic, and it looks like a shed, but it is great when you get inside it. It’s a little hideaway.”
Owner Judi Hill used to live outside the area and visited at weekends with her family.
She said: “My children are grown up now so we don’t use it.
“We are sad to be selling and it was a hard decision, but we were not making full use of it and it was better to go to another family that can grow up with it.”
