A selection of the latest planning applications lodged with Northumberland County Council.

Amble: 5 Burton Road, demolition of rear extensions and construction of replacement sun room; 5 Edwin Street, change of use of one bedroom and upstairs bathroom, plus one sitting room downstairs into bed and breakfast facility; Amble Braid Car Park, improvement to surface of the north-west area of the car park to provide access to Coquet Shorebase Trust; 12 Gordon Street, construction of single-storey rear extension.

Bamburgh: 25 Front Street, retrospective consent for change of use from shop to café.

Beadnell: 77 Longstone Close, single-storey extension and various alterations; Annstead Farm Caravan and Tent Campsite, Swinhoe Road, temporary holiday site with a maximum number of 130 units per night.

Ellingham: St Maurice’s Church, erection of wooden eco toilet to be situated externally on south side of church.

Kielder: Land west of quarry, Lakeside Way Footpath, installation of self-supporting offshore sculpture (Plashetts Rising).

Rothbury: Moor Cottage, Hillside, single-storey extension to side of house.

Thropton: Land south of the Three Wheat Heads, change of use of field to rear and establishment of six camping pods.

Warkworth: Sturton Grange Farmhouse, listed building consent (LBC) – alterations including opening up between kitchen and family room, new door to garden from family room, additional bathroom and relocated stair to west range, other like-for-like repairs to take place not subject to LBC.

West Thirston: Thirston House, retrospective listed building consent for construction of stone surround comprising of two columns and pediment to rear courtyard entrance door.
