Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault in Hadston.
A 16-year-old boy was walking in Hadston Road with friends at around 5pm on Friday, May 3, when he was approached from behind and assaulted.
He was punched to the ground and kicked.
The teenager suffered minor injuries, including a black eye and grazes.
The offender is described as being white, around 24 years old and 5ft 7ins tall.
He was of medium build and had a tanned complexion and freckled face.
He was wearing a black hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms and black baseball-style boots.
He fled the scene after the assault in the direction of St John’s estate.
Anyone who was in the area at the time of Friday’s assault and who witnessed the attack on the teenager is asked to contact police in Morpeth on 101, ext 69191.
