Alnwick Young Farmers’ Club is holding a taster evening on Monday.

The group, which has weekly meetings, regular trips and takes part in county competitions, is always keen to attract new members.

The club is also preparing for the eagerly-anticipated Northumberland County Rally, which takes place at Whitley Chapel on Saturday, June 3.

This major event features a range of competitions, including tug of war, cookery and baking classes, and an obstacle race.

The club also fund-raises for good causes and recently took part in a club exchange with Diss Young Farmers Club from Norfolk.

Monday’s taster session takes place at Alnwick Rugby Club at 7.30pm.

Anyone aged between 13 and 26 is welcome and the club is not just for farmers.

For more information, contact club chairman, Hope Oliver, on 07891 653399.
