THE history of the region’s railways will come under the spotlight in a fascinating talk at an Alnwick attraction.
Dr Richard Lomas, Emeritus Lecturer in History at Durham University, will speak about The Development of the North East Railways to 1914.
The talk takes place at Barter Books on Monday, November 21, at 7.30pm.
Entrance is £3, with wine and cheese afterwards.
To be assured of a seat, it is advised to come early, with doors opening at 7pm.
