The Royal Air Force Reserves have surpassed a landmark recruitment target for 2014/15 with more than 800 new members.
The Reservist arm of the RAF was set an unprecedented target of 706 new recruits for the 2014/15 financial year.
Having broken that target one month ago, the final recruitment figures have revealed a total of 805 attestations took place in the last 12 months.
Breaking the target by 99 new recruits marked a substantial rise in recruitment figures compared to a total of 266 recruits in 2012/13 and 422 for the previous financial year.
The Commandant of RAF College Cranwell, Air Commodore Chris Luck, who is head of recruitment and selection, said:“I am delighted that the RAF Reserve has reached a milestone for attestations over the 2014/15 recruitment period.”
