ORGANISERS of a village show are sowing the seeds of success.
Bamburgh will be holding its annual show on Saturday, September 10.
Among the attractions are competitions to grow the heaviest crop of potatoes in a bucket and the heaviest sunflower heads.
In readiness for this year’s event, chitting potatoes and sunflower seeds were given out at the Macmillan coffee morning in Bamburgh on Easter Monday.
Last year, the show committee had visitors phoning in the weight of their potatoes and sunflowers from as far afield as Dorset.
All the visitors had been holidaying in Bamburgh at Easter and had returned home with seeds and potatoes, keen to enter the fun of the competition.
