AN Amble tot has been presented with a special gift to commemorate the Royal wedding.
Earlier this year, Amble Town Council agreed to buy a commemorative coin to give to any child born to an elector of Amble parish on April 29.
If none were born on that day, the memento would go to the first child born after that to an elector of the Parish.
After a delay in people coming forward, baby Caleb Brian Wake had his name submitted by his family.
And at the beginning of the month, he was presented with the gift by town mayor Leslie Bilboe.
Because of the length of time it took to find a baby, the town council couldn’t purchase a Royal wedding coin from The Royal Mint, so Caleb received The Royal Mint 2011 My First Coins Baby Gift Set.
His mum Susan, from the town’s Coquetdale, said the gift was ‘lovely’ and it would be kept for when he was older.
