The restored and re-assembled organ in All Saints Church, Rothbury, is pictured at the end of the first week’s Heritage Lottery-funded work by Goetze and Gwynn of Worksop, Nottinghamshire. Tuning and final finishing will take place next week.

Everyone is invited to the inauguration event in church in the presence of the Duchess of Northumberland and Archdeacon of Lindisfarne on Saturday, September 17, at 6 pm.

At the inauguration, the listed and now restored organ will be played by Durham Cathedral organist James Launcelot and his Cathedral Choristers will contribute to the music.

Refreshments will be available free of charge.
