TWO men were rescued by the Great North Air Ambulance last weekend after accidents in north Northumberland.
Just before noon on Sunday, the crew was called to the Cheviot Hills where a 52-year-old man from Morpeth had fallen from his bike, suffering a suspected dislocated shoulder. He was taken to Wansbeck General Hospital and was said to be in a stable condition.
At around 3.20pm the same day, the air ambulance was called to a crash near Wooler where a motorbike and tractor had collided.
The bike rider, a man in his 40s from Amble, was taken to Newcastle RVI with chest injuries.
