The Elderberries Project at The Alnwick Garden hosted a spring party to which 100 older people were invited.

The Duchess of Northumberland welcomed the guests to an afternoon of good food, wine and entertainment.

Guests danced along to the wonderful live music. Even less agile guests enjoyed dancing while seated at their tables.

Elderberries plans to host four such parties per year. None of this would be possible without the generous support of The Stuart Halbert Foundation, John Adamson from Ramside Estates and the continued invaluable help from volunteers.

The Elderberries team reaches out to isolated, older people in Northumberland and welcomes them every second Tuesday of the month to a Clinic Café held in the Garden Pavilion. This is a great opportunity to meet new people and enjoy a two-course meal for £1.
